The catering at the Camping Park offers Bavarian-Swabian delicacies in the Wirtshaus im GITZ (Inn at the GITZ) and Italian specialities, pizzas and ice cream in the Ristorante Pinocchio, plus a wide range available at our supermarket, the Einkaufsmarkt am GITZ.
Our site is just as attractive for active Campers 55+  as for all families with children or those interested in sports or culture. Nature-loving campers can enjoy their stay in the countryside when making cycle tours around the GITZ or walking, for example on the Way of St. James that leads past the site or in the Camping Park itself,  along the shore promenade, in our organic vegetable garden, by the pond or revitalising themselves with Kneipp hydrotherapy in the woods by the natural stream. Hands-on nature, in the literal sense, is what you can experience in our Nature Playground .


The only thing left to mention is the historical background of the Gitzenweiler Hof, whose roots go back to the 14^th century. The distinctive manor house and former customs house is evidence of the one-time importance of this site, the gateway to Lindau. Even today, the  family coat of arms is still displayed above the doorway, that of the noble family of "von Haider zu Gitzenweiler," which you can also see on the old Lindau town hall. This unique history is celebrated in the annual Rittertag (Knights' Day), which has the slogan 'Gitzenweiler in 1380 – the Camping Park in the days of Ullrich von Ebersberg.'
